Messages from MOKICCO are posted here to keep you informed about their developments.
“Now the grain grows for harvest time, and young and old rejoice in it,
and should praise God’s goodness, who in abundant measure, wishes to show
us humans so much good, every day and hour.” (Swedish Psalm 200:3)
Thank you for all the support and prayers MOKICCO received in the month of May.
From Tanzania, I received news that the village leadership in Mwangaria has approved the land on which the vocational school is built as MOKICCO’s property. It has been difficult to develop the school because the future was uncertain.
Currently, we only have a sewing course, but in the future, we have the possibility to start training in carpentry, auto mechanics, computers, etc. Mwangaria is one of the poorest villages in Tanzania.
When we first visited the village in 2013, Carl-Erik Sahlberg said that the Holy Spirit urged him that we should help Mwangaria.
So in that same village, we started three MOKICCO families with a total of 24 children, and in 2015, we also started the vocational school with 19 students.
On Sunday, May 25, the children’s church held the Klara Race, where they ran around the church for the benefit of MOKICCO. Friends and parents sponsored the race. Our information officer at Klara Church, Carolina Ayoub, tells us:
“We are so happy that we raised a total of 9,085 kronor in the Klara Race when the children’s church ran for MOKICCO.
There were about 20 determined children who together ran a total of 255 laps around the church, and several adults sponsored the children’s laps.
At the same time as the Klara Race, we got to gather for church coffee with grilled sausages and popcorn outdoors after the service for all ages.”
I wish you all a pleasant summer.
Overa Seka Sahlberg
