Mokicco News

Messages from MOKICCO are posted here to keep you informed about their developments.

Thank you very much for all the support and prayers that MOKICCO received during the last two months, September and October. It is a warm period in Tanzania. Meteorologists advised people to prepare for heavy rain and flooding during September and October. Now we enter November with the hope that the meteorologists were wrong this time.

Anna Saikieli

Good news is that Anna Saikieli has finished primary school. Anna, who was previously named Amina and was a Muslim, came to MOKICCO when she was six years old. Now she is fifteen. She has a disability, and her father thought it was a shame for the family.

Anna has a brother, but he was allowed to stay with the family because he was not disabled. MOKICCO welcomed Anna and told her that we do not only accept Christian children, but also Muslims and all those in need. She decided herself to become a Christian and studied at a school for children with disabilities. Thanks to her education, she can manage her life very well on her own. She can clean, wash clothes by hand, cook, and take care of herself. The year 2026 became very special for Anna because during this year she both finished her studies and was confirmed.

Youth Seminar

On September 10–13, 2026, 60 MOKICCO youths gathered at Mwika Bible and Theological School for a seminar. The teaching covered various topics: young people’s responsibility in society, living a pure life, entrepreneurship, using the internet and time in the right way, the calling to serve God, loving the Bible and reading and applying it correctly, as well as various youth challenges. The seminar was a great opportunity for the young people to meet, get to know each other, and spend time together. The teaching was given by teachers at the Bible and Theological Seminary, who also train future pastors and evangelists. The youth gained a lot of good knowledge, and everyone wished to have the same seminar next year.

Home Visits

After the seminar, two MOKICCO leaders in Tanzania conducted home visits to the MOKICCO families to meet the children in their home environment and meet the foster parents.

Vocational School

The renovation of the vocational school is now complete. Thank you very much for the funds used for the renovation! It was even enough to buy a six-room house that will be used as housing for one or two teachers, as well as a commercial space that can accommodate projects that hopefully can generate some income for the vocational school. This also makes things easier for the school’s students, who would otherwise have to travel very far to shop.

Pray for us and for the children in Tanzania, and in this troubled world.

God bless you.
