Proud faces in Zimbabwe

New football shirts for local Women’s Teams!

During our visit to Zimbabwe in May of this year, we brought plenty of supplies with us. Thanks to amazing donations, we were able to pack a large amount of items, including a wonderful collection of brand-new football- and sport shirts!

The shirts were generously donated by football club Neptunus-Schiebroek (via David) and the Municipality of Apeldoorn (via Twieb).

From Apeldoorn and Schiebroek to Rural Zimbabwe
Dominic, our contact person at Children in the Wilderness, immediately saw a fantastic home for the gear. He asked if he could take the shirts to a rural area in Zimbabwe to outfit his local women’s football teams. Naturally, we were more than happy to agree.

Today, we received the photos from Zimbabwe, and the result is truly heartwarming: proud, smiling players ready to hit the pitch in their beautiful new kits.
Moments like this remind us how grateful we are for every single item donated to our cause. Together, we really do make a difference!
