We receive messages from Mokicco from Carl-Erik and place them here to keep you informed of their developments.
Happy new Year!
As all years this year will also have its blessings and joys!

This first newsletter from this new year will be a little bit different from other newsletters, where I more have presented our present situation for our work among children, widows a.s.o. It will be more personal.
When I was 19 years old, my father died under tragic circumstances. He was drunk, he had borrowed (taken) a car from a neighbor and destroyed that car. When the neighbor noticed that, he of course became angry and in the quarrel that started my father fell down – dead.  At first this tragic event in the local newspapers was described as a killing and the neighbor was for a while taken by the police. Later investigations however showed that my father had died because of some problems he had had since his youth in his brain – so the neighbor was released. Of course this event was a shame for our family and the name Sahlberg.
When I as a 19 year old by stood there at my fathers death place, I said to myself: “One day people will  honor the name Sahlberg!”

In October the chairman of the village where we live knocked at our door to tell us that the village committee had decided to name a road after my name!  Why? Because that I – and MOKICCO – had done so much for this area – helped orphan children, built houses for widows, conducting kindergarten and in a broad way had helped so many needy people. The chairman said: “Yes, this is in our area history what You have done!”
And so they named the road I had repaired after my name – ”Dr. Sahlberg Road”!  The family name Sahlberg honored!

So something quite different. I don’t think you know that I love animals and now live among many animals. So here around me now we have two cows, four goats, seven rabbits, ten hens, one dog, one cat – and lots of bees, which will give us honey in February. It would have been like it was in  paradise – and now I live in that paradise!

I would like to give you a word for this year – ”Young men may be tired and give up, young men may fall. But those who trust on the Lord  they get new power, they lift with wings like eagles. They run without fainting, they walk without being tired”. (Isa. 40:31)
