Messages from MOKICCO are posted here to keep you informed about their developments.
“Rejoicing we bring our prayers to You, we want to serve You as daughters and sons,
to create as You do, even in our smallest work – may action and prayer become one.
Praise be to God, praise be to the Father, His Spirit, His Son, joyfully we sing
and worship before His throne.” (SvPs 229:2)
Thank you so much, friends, for all the support and prayers MOKICCO received in the month of July.
In Tanzania, July has been very cold and rainy, with flooding in some places,
but the harvest of maize, beans, vegetables, and fruit looks very promising, and the children are doing well.
At the beginning of July, MOKICCO received a pair of siblings – a boy and a girl.
Their parents worked for MOKICCO at the vocational school in Mwangaria.
The father was a night guard, and the mother was a cook and preschool teacher.
The father died suddenly, and no one knows what illness he had.
In the same year, the mother also passed away after an illness from something the doctors did not have time to investigate.
Thus, the children lost both parents in 2024.
The girl, Ester Edwin Mmanga, 15 years old, is now in her second year of secondary school.
In Tanzania, there is a national test that determines whether students may continue their studies after the first year of secondary school.
She passed the test well, despite the great tragedy.
Thanks be to the Holy Spirit, our Comforter.
She now lives in MOKICCO’s Komakundi family, a household with six children.
The foster parents are evangelist Tumaini Makundi and his wife Stella.
Her younger brother, Elia Edwin Mmanga, 8 years old, is in the second grade at Ashira Primary School in Marangu.
He lives in a family with six children. Julieth Urassa is the foster mother of this household,
which also includes the youngest MOKICCO children: Lightness, now 7 years old in the first grade, and Elia in the second grade.
I myself have had a good summer. I am preparing, together with Erland Hillby, another retired pastor,
to start a Swahili-speaking congregation in Uppsala on August 17, 2025.
On July 19–20, 2025, I was invited to the Equmeniakyrkan church in Karlskoga.
On Saturday the 19th, I spoke about MOKICCO and showed pictures from Tanzania,
and on Sunday the 20th, I preached.
The offering on both Saturday and Sunday went to MOKICCO’s work in Tanzania.
God’s rich blessings to you all.
