ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The event is organized by the Yourright Foundation. Nicole Schuijer and Branko Driessen, both board members, are true whisky enthusiasts. In 2019, they organized the first edition of the Whisky Festival Delft, which has since become a well-known event among whisky lovers.
Starting in 2023, they also moved the festival to Apeldoorn. Due to its overwhelming success, new exhibitors have been invited for this 4th edition.
The proceeds from this festival will go towards supporting the activities of our foundation.
EXHIBITORS
Nicole and Branko:
They will bring a large part of their private collection, including some very exclusive and special whiskies they brought back from their latest trip through England, Scotland, and Ireland.
Liquor Store De Cognactheek:
This specialized liquor store has become a staple in Apeldoorn and far beyond. Harold van der Werff and Erik de Leest offer a wide range of whiskies (300 bottles) with many whiskies from independent bottlers that are only available from them in Apeldoorn.
Billy’s Whisky Barrel (Belgium)
Christophe understands the essence of premium spirits at Billy’s Whisky Barrel. Drawing from a collection of rare whiskies, he carefully curates the selection to cater to both connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Based in the heart of Bredene, Belgium, he guarantees excellent service and expert advice, ensuring every customer enjoys a smooth and satisfying experience..
Dutch Bourbon Base: (only Saturday)
What started as a hobby for Erwin van Heiningen, after catching the love virus for American whiskeys in the USA, has gotten a bit out of hand. He now has a private collection of around 400 bottles, many of which are hardly or not at all found in Europe. Taste and be surprised!
The Whisky Lads (only on Sunday)
The Whisky Lads, Maarten and Henk, share a passion for Scotland and whisky. Maarten set foot on Scottish soil 40 years ago and has since built an impressive collection, with SMWS bottlings at its core. His enthusiasm inspired Henk, who is now a dedicated whisky lover as well. Together they own over 300 exceptional bottles and enjoy inviting others to share in the experience and exchange tasting notes.
Special guest: Ben Birdsall writer of 2 unique whisky books will again be present to share his stories and sign his books.
