Whisky Festival Apeldoorn

The weekend of January 31st and February 1st was all about the Whisky Festival Apeldoorn. On Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, Station Royaal was transformed into a true whisky Valhalla.

On both days, Cognactheek, Billy’s Whisky Barrel, Thrive&Travel, and Branko were present with beautiful stands. On Saturday, they were joined by Erwin with his American bourbons, and on Sunday by the Haagse Whisky Lads. Ben Birdsall, author of two whisky books, was also present again this year to sign his copies. Once again, the full proceeds from these book sales went entirely to our foundation.

In addition, the 48th Highlanders of Holland provided a musical performance with bagpipes and snare drums. For the raffle, all exhibitors donated wonderful prizes, supplemented by various donations from distilleries that Nicole and Branko received directly from Scotland.

In short, there was plenty to enjoy this weekend. And the results speak for themselves: the festival, including the raffle, raised a beautiful amount for our projects in Zimbabwe. We want to thank all participants and visitors, but above all our volunteers, without whom we absolutely could not organize this festival.
